Burning designs into hats and lacing hats are age-old crafts. For centuries, makers have used tools, templates, and guides to keep their stitching and spacing even. This jig is my take on that time-tested practice.
When I started hat burning, I wanted a simple, no-frills way to space lacing holes and rhinestones evenly around my hat brims. I couldn’t find exactly what I needed, so I designed this jig myself from scratch in a CAD program, using my own measurements and plenty of trial and error.
Fits: Standard wide brim hats with brims approx 9 - 9.5cm, measuring approx. 14 × 15¾ in
Use it for: Evenly spacing lacing holes, rhinestones, studs, or other brim decorations

*Approximate fit. Wide brim hats vary slightly by maker. If the jig does not fit perfectly, move each piece as needed to mark your holes.
*Not for Hobby Lobby hats. This jig will not fit Hobby Lobby wide brim hats. The Hobby Lobby version is on my website HullabalooCrafts.com
*Not heat resistant. Do not use it with hat burning tools. Mark your holes, then remove the jig before punching or burning.
*Each jig is 3D printed in my home studio, layer by layer. Because of this, you may notice small variations such as fine layer lines, slight texture differences, or minor color variations between prints. These are a normal part of the 3D printing process and don’t affect how the jig works.
*The cool holographic effect you see on the jigs are due to special effects build plates of 3D printers. Because they can wear out easily, your holographic design may be different than the ones shown on the listings; such as bubbles instead of stars, or stars instead of flakes, etc.

*Every jig is carefully packed to arrive safely. Before shipping, I photograph each item and its packaging so I have a record that your order left in perfect condition. All orders ship with tracking, so you can follow your package to your door.
