Crafting for a Cause
Hi! I’m Jackie. I have an Au-some Family. I love to craft. I started selling handmade items to to afford a special education attorney to ensure that my Autistic sons had access to accommodations and resources at school.
My original focus was on making cool and exciting Autism Awareness items. When my sons were first diagnosed with Autism, all I could find were the same outdated Autism Awareness designs and colors. The selection was limited. So I made Autism Awareness items with more fashionable designs and colors. I like to make bright and glittery things that pop and show Autistic pride.
As time went on, my sons wanted to create things to sell too. After trying out a few crafts, they found they enjoyed making paintings and buttons. Now, they create unique and one of a kind items and join me when I vend. You may have seen us selling at the annual Autism Community Store Resource Fair, and at the annual Autism Society Walk/Fair for the past 3 years.
Whether your thing is Autism Awareness, Autism Acceptance, or Neurodiversity; puzzle pieces or infinity symbols; bright, blingy, or old school ASD primary color designs, I got something for you.
And if you are not looking for Autism merch, but want fun and creative handmade items for yourself or gift giving, you’ve come to the right place. I have items that will make you go, “Wow.”
This website will constantly be a work in progress due to trying to juggle everything as an ASD mom. I have more pictures and videos to add, but little time to do it :)
